Library rules are essential guidelines to ensure a harmonious and efficient environment for all patrons. These regulations typically include directives regarding noise levels, handling of materials, borrowing limits, and respectful conduct towards staff and fellow visitors. Adhering to these rules fosters a conducive atmosphere for learning, research, and enjoyment within the library space.

Library users are requested to observe the following guidelines.

  • The Library provides services to the students, staff, faculty members of the College through an automated mode by using library management software e-lib.
  • ID Card should be compulsory while entering into the library.
  • All the readers and outsiders entering the Library shall deposit their bags and other belongings at the property counter and sign in the register at the checkpoint. 
  • The readers are also advised not to leave their valuables at the checkpoint. Library is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings. 
  • Only notebooks and the Library books will be allowed inside.
  • Each shelf is accompanied with a shelf guide, which indicates rack number, shelf number, class number and subjects concerned.
  • Books removed from the shelves by students, if not required for reference, should be kept on the circulation counter. Please do not try to shelve them yourself. Please remember that a book misplaced is a book lost.
  • The newspaper(s) should be folded properly after reading and kept back in the designated place.
  • Readers should not spoil, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library resources in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he will be charged the full replacement cost of the resource.
  • For the loss of a Library Card, a fine will be charged for the new card.
  • Students are advised not to issue Books to others on their names. Reference Documents like Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Year Books, Journals, Project Reports, Rare Books will not be issued out.
  • Conversation and discussion disturbs library ambience. Therefore, all are requested to maintain dignified silence. If discussion is necessary, the closed room can be utilized for the same.
  • All users are requested to keep their mobiles switched off in the Library.
  • Spitting, smoking, napping, drinking tea/coffee and edibles, and any other behaviour which may disturb other users are strictly prohibited inside the library.
  • Demand and suggestion slips are available at the circulation desk for your use. 

Borrowing:

  • A student can borrow at most three books at a time for fifteen days, which are further renewable for fifteen days.
  • All Student & Staff ID cards are Bar-coded and the same used as Library cards.
  • While returning/issuing books from the library, students should ensure that their books are duly discharged.
  • Books and other publications are issued at the counter between 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM.
  • The Librarian reserves the right to call back any issued book/item at any time.
  • Librarians have the right to cancel ID cards and refuse admission to anyone violating these rules and regulations or indulging in any other misconduct.
  • Borrowers shall return all publications borrowed from the library before proceeding on long leave of any kind.
  • Borrowers are advised not to issue Books to others on their names.

Conditions of Loan:

  • Library card is not transferable.
  • The borrower is fully responsible for books borrowed on his ID Card.
  • An amount of Rs.1/- will be collected as overdue charges per day, per transaction, after the due date.
  • Absence and illness are not acceptable excuses for exemption from paying an overdue charge.
  • The Librarian may recall a book at any time before its due date.
  • If the Librarian considers that a borrower has not returned the books within a reasonable time of its due date as indicated in the recall notice, as the case may be, the borrower is responsible to pay the cost of the book plus the prescribed overdue charges.
  • If a book belonging to a set is lost, the borrower will be charged for replacing the entire set.
  • In case students lose/misplace book/s issued to them, they should report it immediately in writing to the librarian to avoid accumulation of fines.
  • Textbooks borrowed for internal reference should be promptly returned. 
  • Non – return of textbooks, during the examination period, will be reported to the Head of the department for necessary action. Apart from this, the student has to pay the fine fixed by the concerned authorities at that time.

Located in the outskirts of Tirtahalli city, near Tudaki. College gets more and more attracted with the greenery that welcomes you with a freshness vibe. PUC, Under Graduation and Post Graduation courses are available in this college. Campus is included with Canteen, Xerox outlet, Sports complex, playground, library and auditorium.
